It would be a good idea if you could preorder a compilation once a storyline is finished. I enjoy more the TPB compilation format than the single-issue one (no ads, easier to handle and store, and looks really cool in my library :) ). The advantage that the print-on-preorder system would provide, is that it would be FAR more cost-effective (no loses for the comic companies!), and we would be saving a fuckload of trees.SAIDESTROYERhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17497866804136726652noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3707743474277400706.post-55337032648372008722009-02-26T19:24:00.000-08:002009-02-26T19:24:00.000-08:00Hello! However, living in an Asian 3rd world country, comic books are luxuries that less than 10% of the population of the capital enjoy.

I work in a reputable company and I make decent money, but definitely not enough to enjoy comics indefinitely. I started reading as a kid, back when my folks would pay for my stuff. Now, I've had to cut back to just my favorite titles. If digitizing comics would mean cheaper wares, I'm all for it.

I'd like to have the option to not have to buy a Kindle though. If I can read them using a PC, that'd be perfect.

Also, I'm linking this article in a blog post I'll write, okay? Thanks!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3707743474277400706.post-6482191204581311312009-02-26T16:53:00.000-08:002009-02-26T16:53:00.000-08:00I'm with you, Paul, on the idea of iComics. I still buy to collect, but I have NO problem using cDisplay. The mousewheel gets old, but you can't beat comics that are the width of your screen.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3707743474277400706.post-191613196218568742009-01-30T13:33:00.000-08:002009-01-30T13:33:00.000-08:00Check this out its 8 x 10 if they come out with a ...Check this out its 8 x 10 if they come out with a color version.

http://www.plasticlogic.com/Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3707743474277400706.post-41215941168217151832009-01-29T13:26:00.000-08:002009-01-29T13:26:00.000-08:00Hey Paul,I followed you over from Newsarama.Some g...Hey Paul,

I followed you over from Newsarama.

Some good points -- but keep in mind that the Kindle uses the same E-ink technology that the Sony E-reader uses -- so there is no light emitting screen. You actually need light to read it the same as a printed page and it has been proven to be far less stressful on the eyes than LCD monitors. The limitation is that multi-coloured E-ink has (so-far) proven to be too costly for a portable reading device -- but I would expect that to change with time. So no digital colour comics for now on those devices.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
